Aquaponics systems are a way of growing a garden inexpensively and naturally with symbiotic relationships. Basically, aquaponic systems merge aquaculture and hydroponics together. Plants grown in water are an example of hydroponics. Cohabitation of species in a living space underwater is aquaculture, for example an aquarium with fish in it. Merging the two helps the plants and the fish thrive by living together.
